The DiMaria Law Firm, LLC obtained a settlement for client who was involved in a motor vehicle accident. Client was wearing a seatbelt and as result of the forceful impact, the seatbelt tightened fracturing a rib and rupturing her breast implants that had been in for over a decade without incident. The client underwent two surgeries and suffered permanent nerve damage in the chest area as a result of this accident.

In this case, Client and her husband came to our office for a consultation. Client entered the United States with a visitor visa around seven years ago. Client overstayed her visa and married her husband who was a permanent resident. Client wanted to obtain her green card based on the fact that she was married to a permanent resident, however under immigration laws, Client could only obtain her green card if her husband was a United States Citizen.

In this case, Client’s family came to see DiMaria for a consultation to help their daughter who was in immigration custody. Client was a citizen of Germany who had a green card since 1976. Client was divorced and had one minor United States Citizen child. Client had fifteen arrests for theft by deception, fraudulent use of a credit card, and other theft related offenses that occurred from 2004 until 2008.

In this case, client’s family came to our office for a consultation because their relative was in jail. The family hired DiMaria to represent client. Client was arrested for having a fake ID. Client’s family paid the criminal bail and Client was transferred into immigration custody. Client had been living in the United States for twelve years, had two United States Citizen children, and was working full time. DiMaria filed an application for bail and client was released from jail after his family paid the bail.

Many of my clients come to my office because their family members have been arrested for minor criminal offenses but then have an immigration hold. For example, client is driving while under the influence of alcohol and gets pulled over by the police. The police arrest client for DWI and the judge sets bail at $500.

In this case, Client was a citizen of the Dominican Republic who was married to her husband who had a green card. Client’s husband physically abused her on many occasions. Client reported the incidents of abuse to the police and received a permanent restraining order.
